After a fire damaged the business last March, Bulverde’s Verde Bistro has begun rebuilding.
“Verde Bistro will remain closed until further notice due to severe damage received during the building fire on March 17th, 2023. We are deeply touched by the outpouring of love, support, and kindness that many of you have expressed,” the eatery shared on Facebook last spring.
The post continues, “While we are hurting at the moment, we will do our very best to rebuild and return stronger than ever.
According to a recently submitted permit application, renovations are finally underway.
The filing discloses that reconstruction of the 4,120-square-foot building began on February 1 and is scheduled to be completed on August 31. For an estimated $350,000, the project is being carried out by San Antonio-based firm Adelantus Inc.
A reopening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
