According to a recently submitted permit application, Boerne-based restaurant Mary’s Tacos is relocating from its Kerrville outpost, leaving behind its home at 1616 Broadway for a spot just down the street at 1515 Broadway.
What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Gilbert Villanueva, but he could not provide additional information before publication.
Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.
Described as “new restaurant facility site work, [and] fire protection,” renovations are scheduled to begin on August 1, 2024, and be completed in October 2025. For an estimated $1,250,000, local firm SLS Partnership, Inc. will execute the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Mary’s Tacos offers a brief introduction on its website: “Mary’s Tacos is family owned and operated in Boerne, Texas. We have two other locations in Kerrville, Texas, and Helotes, Texas.”
The statement continues, “We are a low-key, counter-serve Mexican eatery dishing up a variety of tacos, including breakfast.”
