According to a recently submitted construction permit application, national chain Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse is expanding in San Antonio — opening a new outpost in the Encino Park neighborhood next summer.
Coming to 21119 U.S. Hwy 281 N, the eatery will land near establishments such as Autozone, Taco Palenque, and Tlahco Mexican Kitchen.
According to the filing, renovations to the existing 6,580-square-foot space are scheduled to begin on December 1 and to be completed by May 1, 2024. For an estimated $1,700,000, Colorado Springs-based firm YOW Architects, PC will carry out the project.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Parry’s, the franchise shares little about how it got started on its website, stating, “Parry’s launched in 2007 as a New York-style pizza joint that was great for a quick bite and perhaps a beer or a glass of wine.”
The introduction continues, “Over the past 16 years, Parry’s has evolved into a complete dining experience. Sure, pizza, wings, and fried dough are still on the menu, but Parry’s also has become a craft beer haven with some of the best rotating tap lists at all our locations, no matter what state we call home.”
Ambiance-wise, locals can expect to find a “unique, industrial New York warehouse feel, complemented with inviting textiles and fixtures that allow [patrons] to feel even closer to the city that never sleeps.”
