The bar’s name pays homage to the late Blayne Tucker, who was beloved in the music community in San Antonio and one of the city’s biggest music advocates. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Blayne helped countless music venues across the country secure grants to keep them afloat during unprecedented times.

“We named Blayne’s in honor of a dear friend whose impact in San Antonio is nothing short of extraordinary,” said Francis Bogside owner Steve Mahoney in a statement. “We hope to continue his efforts and support live music in the city, and are excited to officially open to the public.”

The bar will offer regular live music programming paired with a fun food and beverage menu. Blayne’s food menu includes Tex-Mex favorites with a twist, like Red Curry Short Rib Mini Tacos, Southwest Eggrolls, Street Corn Bites, Smoked Barbacoa Pizza and Customizable Nachos. Drink menu items include margaritas, house cocktails and beer. Blayne’s will also be available to reserve for private events.

Blayne’s hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM and it is located at 1170 E. Commerce St. Suite 100, San Antonio, TX 78205.
