The first will be an Extra Fine outpost — marking its second in the city — coming to The Savoy at 122 E. Houston Street, near eateries such as Range and Subway.
“The concept is poised to emulate its predecessor, with plenty of easy to-go options for downtowners and a place for folks to meet up and enjoy fresh pastries and lunch options,” MySA shares.
The second — coming to 143 Soledad Street, landing next to Empty Stomach’s Double Standard — will be a yet-to-be-named pizza concept with Chad Carey, the restaurateur behind Barbaro and Hot Joy, at the wheel.
In the news release, Carey shares, “An anchoring principle for us is operating places that do two things – one, they’re fun, and two, they’re transportive” — adding, “We want to transport them to a place where they can get a little mental break from life.”
According to the report, locals can “expect pizza by the slice, whole pies, beer, and pinball.”
Both concepts are slated to open this summer. Stay tuned for updates.
