“Our Cibolo location should be open by the end of this year. We are very excited to serve our Cibolo community with a brand new Scooters Coffee drive-thru location,” franchisee Paula Naranjo tells What Now San Antonio. “We are going to be located off FM 1103 and the Turning Stone community. We are locally owned and operated. We are also in the process of developing additional Scooter’s Coffee locations in the surrounding communities as well.

It’s big news for a brand that is officially entering the San Antonio market this Friday, Mar 31 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its debut location at 10911 Fredericksburg Rd, according to the local Chamber of Commerce.

What’s more, a separate permit application was filed last month for a 664-square-foot kiosk with drive-thru service at 1202 Austin Hwy, as What Now San Antonio reported on Feb 24.

At the time, a representative for the company said, “New Scooter’s Coffee locations are chosen by a number of factors. A lot of times, the franchisees have a connection to the community. Other times, we see that a community shares our core values.”

Scooter’s Coffee was founded in Nebraska in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles who staked their reputation on four “keys to success: find a great location and stay committed to high-quality drinks, speed of service, and a BIG smile.”

Today, the company’s portfolio includes upwards of 500 locations, with a menu that spans smoothies, teas, speciality cold and iced drinks as well as classic espresso options, and a food menu with breakfast favorites such as the Maple Waffle Sandwich, Bacon Ciabatta Sandwich, and Caramelicious Muffin.
