Coming to San Antonio’s Far West Side, Lucy Cooper’s is taking over Suite 101 at 8403 TX-151, near Whataburger, Panda Express, and Schlotzsky’s — around two miles west of Tom Slick Park.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Owner Braunda Smith, but she was unable to provide additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, Smith’s two existing restaurants — located at 16080 San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio and 1515 Kuehler Avenue in New Braunfels — provide a blueprint of what’s to come.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Lucy Cooper’s, the business describes itself as an “easygoing, sports-centric, 21-&-older watering hole with outdoor fire pits & hearty bar fare.”
On the menu, patrons can find appetizers such as fried green tomatoes and chicken fried deviled eggs, as well as sharable plates like hand-rolled butter biscuits served with honey butter & strawberry jalapeno jam. Mains include “Down South seafood” options, chicken wings, and pizza, and, for brunch, patrons can order a donut burger.
Of the expansive selection of cocktails, one of the most popular choices is “Boodreaux’s Punch” — described as a “trashcan style punch made with Ole Smoky Hunch Punch and Strawberry & Blackberry Moonshine.”
Lucy Cooper’s is slated to open this summer. In the meantime, follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram for additional updates.
