A new Black Rock Coffee Bar location will be bringing premium roasted coffees, teas, and an assortment of smoothies and other drinks to San Antonio’s Far West Side. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration, the Oregon-based coffee chain is planning on opening up shop at the south east corner of Reid Ranch Rd and Potranco Rd.
What Now Media San Antonio reached out to franchise owner Jeff Hernandez, but he was not immediately available for comment.
Per the filing, work is set to begin on the new coffee shop in July, and the ground-up construction of the new, 1,925-square-foot building will complete in October this year. Once complete, it will be the chain’s third location in San Antonio.
Black Rock Coffee, with its origins in the Pacific Northwest’s well-known coffee culture, operates over 100 locations in eight different states today. According to its website, the companies see its handcrafted drink as “the beginning of a relationship built on trust and care” —and prides itself on a deeper connection to local communities.
In addition to its community-building culture, fans Black Rock Coffee and first-timers alike will no doubt enjoy their wide selection of coffees, including their popular “I.V.” drink, featuring six shots of espresso with Irish cream and vanilla. They also boast an assortment of syrups, flavours, and alternate milks for customizeable drinks.
