The “complete remodeling project, with a little addition in the bathrooms and kitchen,” is scheduled to begin on May 20, 2024, and be completed on May 10, 2025. For an estimated $325,000, local firm Duran Design Group LLC is tasked with carrying out the project.

What Now San Antonio reached out to the concept’s owner, Manuel Cerrillo, to inquire about the updates, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Taqueria Arandas, the business describes itself as “a long-running Tex-Mex chain specializing in taco-truck fare.” According to its Facebook page, it operates “more than 25 locations in and around Houston, Katy, [and] Baytown.”

A reopening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
