A new barbecue joint, Bloodworth BBQ, is gearing up to make its debut at 210 W. Center Street in Kyle— near eateries such as Hays City Donuts, Room 111, and Texas Pie.
Owners Thomas and Laticha Bloodworth tell What Now San Antonio that before the end of the month, locals will be able to stop in and enjoy Texas traditional barbecue, smoked jerky, and fresh-made sides — including five-cheese mac, creamy lime coleslaw, zesty pasta salad, and baked beans.
“I decided to get into it after I smoked a brisket for my wife and she encouraged me to try to sell it to other people,” Thomas tells MySA, adding that this was about three years ago.
He continues, “I posted it on Facebook Marketplace and got a few customers, and it blew up. We decided to make a Facebook page, and it’s gone great since.”
While Bloodworth BBQ hasn’t set an exact opening date just yet, Kyle residents can expect the business to operate on Saturday and Sunday and offer outdoor seating.
