According to MySA, a new Tex-Mex joint, Los Tios Mexican Restaurant, is planting roots in Fredericksburg.
Coming to 203 East San Antonio Street, taking over the former August E’s spot, the eatery will land near establishments such as Fredericksburg Brewing Company, The Auslander, and Vaudeville.
What Now San Antonio reached out to Kirk Williamson, COO at Adair Concepts, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, public records offer further insight.
The remodeling of the existing 5,000-square-foot space is scheduled to begin on October 1 and finish on March 1, 2025. For an estimated $375,000, work will be carried out by Houston-based firm Issac Preminger A&D Intl.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Los Tios, the Houston-based Mexican restaurant offers a brief introduction on its website: “Favorite tables, favorite waiters. and most importantly, favorite margaritas, have become rituals for so many Houston families over the years. In fact, many Houstonians had their first sip of a frozen margarita at Los Tios in 1975 when it introduced the city’s first.”
“The Houston Tex-Mex staple began in 1970 by the Garbett family and was bought by the Adair family in 2000… There are six locations in total with five in Houston and one in Sugar Land,” MySA shares.
