Coming to 588 S Business IH 35, the eatery will land near establishments such as Hacienda Tapatio Mexican, Pink NB Coffee Shop, and Tint World.
What Now San Antonio contacted the concept’s owner, John Evans, but he could not provide additional information before the time of publication.
Nevertheless, the filing offers further insight.
The interior finish-out of the existing 1,055-square-foot spot is slated to begin on January 1, 2025, and finish on September 1. Garden Ridge, Texas-based firm WPC Architects will carry out the project for an estimated $200,000.
For readers who are unfamiliar with UPB Burgers, the business offers a brief introduction on its website, where Evans writes: “My two favorite parts of a burger are the juicy center and the grilled caramelized outer ring of the burger.”
He continues, “I designed a burger press that would push the center to the outside ring of the burger. Basically making a donut-shaped burger. That allowed what used to be the juicy center now to be on the outside ring of the burger. So, I have the thick juicy part and the grilled caramelized outside all in my first bite.”
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
