Coming to 14583 Potranco Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Burger Boy, Midas Tire Shop, and The Neo Coffee.

When asked what inspired his involvement with Slim Chickens, Franchisee Dan Mcgrath of Big Star Hospitality and Big Star Chicken tells What Now San Antonio, “We really like that they require money to be put back into the community,” sharing that 7-10% of profits are donated to local programs.

He continues, “We’re hoping to build many relationships in the community.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with the business, Slim Chickens offers a brief introduction on its website: “Our mission was (and is) simple: to make the best hand-breaded chicken tenders using only the freshest ingredients, served in a friendly atmosphere where people can relax and feel at home.”

In addition to chicken tenders, the Slim Chickens menu boasts chicken sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sides including macaroni and cheese, fries, and potato salad.

Slim Chickens on Potranco Road is slated to open in late 2025.
