According to a recently submitted permit application, a new concept listed as Kennedy’s Tavern is planning to make its debut in New Braunfels.
Coming to 308 E San Antonio Street, the Irish bar will land near establishments such as Muck & Fuss Craft Beer and Burgers, Sidecar, and Texas Thai.
The bar’s owner, Kyle Kennedy, tells What Now San Antonio, “We will have both Texas Thai food truck as well as Kennedy’s Tavern food truck on site for food.”
Additionally, the filing describes the project as “converting an existing office, that resides in the Texas Historic Landmark designated as The Voight House, to a bar/tavern called Kennedy’s Tavern.”
Renovations to the 5,000-square-foot space are scheduled to begin on April 21, 2025, and finish on August 21. Local firm Dillo Development Services will carry out the project for an estimated $750,000.
An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
